OPS releases inclement weather schedule

EMohnie Ruckman, Reporter

Once again, snow days are officially a thing in the past.  According to District Communication, there will be 25-minute classes with no advisement for students in middle schools, high schools (except for Central), and programs. Teachers may create and assign independent lessons or tasks for students to complete.

The District will communicate weather related school closing days to all families and staff via an automated telephone call as well as through email, the OPS web page and local media sources, they also will notify families and staff as soon as possible when the decision is made to cancel school due to weather.

When school is closed, the district will designate the closing as a District Closure, School Closure, Remote Learning Day, Late Start or an Early Release. Depending on what type of closure they designate, students and staff may or may not have to attend in-person.
