Caitlyn Jenner is one of the most famous human beings in the United States. From winning the Olympics, to being married to Kris Kardashian, and coming out as a transgender woman. But this new statement she has come out with is plain weird. Jenner has declared she is running for governor of California. 

Jenner is currently 71 and has no previous running for elections. Although in previous years she has made tweets about how Donald Trump has done the LGBTQ community wrong. Back in 2018 she thought about doing it but ended up not doing it. But has since decided that it would be a good idea to run for it now. 

We think this a great idea that a person who is very Intune with the LGBTQ community herself to run for a governor position. But what has me confused is why run for the position now and how could person with no previous experience in this field win an election? 

The main reason Jenner is running for this position is it is another publicity stunt. Ever since the Kardashians cut her out of the family, Jenner has had a quiet life. But with this it causes media exposure and money to be funded right to her bank.  

There is a lot of hate and doubters who think that Jenner is not the right candidate. I think that the things they are saying Is completely true. Jenner supported Trump in 2016 because she thought that he would help with LGBTQ rights. That completely blew up in her face.  

“ I think that Jenner is just using this for publicity.” sophomore Eliza Crotty said, “The likelihood that she would win is so low.”
