Upward Bound is a fun program that allows highschoolers and middle schoolers to attend for tutoring and for educational purposes. They have fun and mostly hands-on activities, 2024 first field trip for new year students is going to a trampoline park.
Upward Bound allows students to be paid $40 monthly based on attendance and how often students go.
The program holds summer school for students, in June and sometime in July, where students will learn and do activities. Sometimes, students go to other states. The host and principal make this program entertaining and educational for students, so join right now. It is not too late to apply. They accept new students every year.
For Benson students, get an Upward Bound paper application at the counseling office. In the package, there will be information about the program, requirements for attending. What’s needed to be filled is the three teacher recommendations of Science, Math and English, along with a 300-word essay. The essay is just about checking the reason why students want to join, and a little about the students’ life.
After finishing the Upward Bound college application, it will take a while until there is an interview set, then more waiting until an invitation to the first-year orientations gets set out.
