Omaha Public Schools (OPS) Career Center invited students and parents to a dynamic Open House on Jan. 30, 2024, from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. Located at 3230 Burt Street, Omaha, the event promised an exploration of 11 Career Center Pathways, providing insights into various career options. In addition, attendees could network with instructors, administrators and over 120 employers, offering a glimpse into the diverse opportunities available at the Career Center.
Adding an extra layer to the evening was the exclusive Health Care Night, a collaboration with Heartland Workforce Solutions. Geared towards students interested in Health Care careers, the event features nine Health Care employers actively seeking Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) positions. Mini-presentations, networking opportunities and information on job shadows and internships make this event an invaluable resource for those pursuing careers in Trades, Health Care and IT Systems.
Mr. Nielsen, the Principal/Program Director, encouraged students and parents to attend this enriching evening, assuring them of a chance to discover their potential and connect with professionals in their chosen fields. Light snacks were provided, making it an informative and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
