Papillion-La Vista completely dominated Benson on the Bunnies homecoming night 10-44 at the Benson High football stadium.

The opening kick of the night Papillion returned a 90-yard kick for a touchdown. The Monarchs then went for two and converted it to make the score 0-8.

It was a long night for the Bunnies, the end of the first half score was 0-44. The Monarchs showed that they were the better team that night.

“We must do a better job wrapping up to make the tackles on defense and executing plays on offense. We should never take a team lightly no matter what their record looks like, always be ready to play,” senior Jaylen Davis said.

The Bunnies finally earned their first point on the board in the 3rd quarter with freshman kicker Cristobal Hernandez to change the score to 3-44.

Then in the 4th quarter the Bunnies scored again with a handoff to senior running back Brandon Ashley for a 13-yard run to change the score to 10-44.

“We must do a better job executing plays and limiting penalties that holds us back,” sophomore Tayshon Terrell said.

That was the ending score of the night, the Monarchs overcame the Bunnies at their Homecoming game.
