PlayStation hopes to prevent bullying

The new PlayStation update has players wondering are party chats private anymore. The new update which was released on Oct. 14 includes updates to parental controls, new avatars and changes in parties and messages.

According to PlayStation.com, once the PlayStation is updated, every time a player joins a voice chat party, the player will receive a message requiring their consent to have their voice recorded by PlayStation throughout the party. The new party feature was instituted to make PlayStation parties a more open environment.

Their goal is to prevent bullying in parties and vulgar language. PlayStation is hoping to make gaming a more open and accepting place for all to enjoy.
