COVID-19 Vaccine is almost ready

Nebraskans, the first to receive the COVID vaccine Nebraska will target front line health care staff and at-risk individuals to get the first doses of the coronavirus vaccine on it’s approved and available.
Phase 1-A targets front line health care workers in hospitals, emergency rooms, urgent care, and long m-term care facilities. Phase 1-B then turns to the residents in long term facilities, Nebraskans over 65 or those with underlying medical conditions.
That phase also includes essential workers such as first responders, emergency personnel, school teachers, food processors, correctional staff, inmates, and other at-risk populations. In phase 2, the vaccine will be offered to the general population.
The vaccine will be free and voluntary.
